I had the honour of doing a review of Cassie’s (from MrsJanuary.com) new updated Money in Your Pocket ebook.
This is the second edition of Money in Your Pocket, and boy, is it great!
The first edition was a helpful tool for Canadians wanting to save some money, but the second edition is a way more helpful tool! This ebook boasts over 100 pages filled with tips on how to coupon, stockpile, menu plan, and how to save at the grocery store.
I especially like the fact that the ebook is very appealing to the eyes and is easy to understand.
I’m sure, if you even implement one of the tips in the ebook, you’ll be saving a bundle!
Now for the giveaway!
Would you like to win a copy of Money in Your Pocket? I’ll pick two winners in the evening of Friday, September 21, 2012. Simply enter below in the Rafflecopter form!
If you’d rather just purchase Money in Your Pocket, you can do so here for $9.99. There’s also an audio version available for $9.99!

I would love to win a copy of this ebook! My husband and I started menu-planning over a year ago, and it has drastically cut our grocery expenses. Having a plan for the food I buy means no food is wasted (okay, some is still wasted. My daughters are 2 and 4
).

For us, it’s shopping the flyers and price matching. We can get more than half of our groceries through flyer prices and save a bundle! Of course, when we can, we pair a coupon with a sale, too.

Yay looking forward to reading the 2nd edition!!

I budget consistently, use coupons a lot, and I always use cash. When it runs out, I know I am out for the period of time I had the money allotted for.

My money saving tip…never go shopping hungry

Save high-value coupons to use when the item in question is on sale.

I use coupons, hopefully with a sale, as long as it is cheaper than another acceptable brand or store brand. I read labels to compare size/quantity, as well as for ingredients and nutrition info – sometimes it is not about getting the cheapest deal but the healthiest (coz after all, health care costs, too!) I try to know my prices so that I can also stockpile when I know it’s the best sale price.

I use coupons. I also use my Sobeys points and Shoppers Drug Mart points for savings. I read a lot of cook books and like to use what I have at home to be creative in the kitchen.

Our main money saving tips are buying meat and staples at Costco and fresh veggies at the local farmers market (they cost the same or less as fresh veggies at the supermarket and last about 4 times as long!)

My number 1 money saving tip is that because I have 3 boys I shop at the thrift store for clothes and can often find brand new or almost new items for cheap there. Those items also almost always last through all 3 of my kids wearing them! (Depending on the item!)

My #1 money-saving tip: buy all your family’s clothes at thrift shops (e.g. Goodwill, Value Village, Salvation Army, etc.). You’ll save hundreds (if not thousands!) of dollars a year.

I am so interested in this book. I have just started couponing and feel a little last. I’m not sure I have money saving tips except to but what you need not just wat is on sale.

My $ saving tip- plan ahead. Buy at the end of the season for the next year (clothes, holiday decor), plan your meals ahead of time, know what you are running low on so you can buy more when a good sale comes up. Last minute shopping kills your budget!

Don’t eat out too often. That’s throwing good money after bad. Save it as a rainy-day treat. You’ll enjoy it more, you will hone your cooking skills, with the ultimate goal of saving money.

I read Books and blogs on being frugal

I am very selective as to where I go shopping!!

My saving tip is to know your prices … a coupon for a higher priced item isn’t a deal. That being said, I would love to have a copy of Cassie’s book to find ways to cut /control my grocery bill even more.

Meal planning really helps me to save money. I can look at the flyers, buy what is on special that week and work my recipes around that.
