I quite like this space saving idea for those that would like to grow herbs! Hang some mason jars on a piece of wood inside near a sunny window. Plant your herb seeds in the jars. I’m sure this would work just as well outside!

So, apparently you can grow green onions inside your home in a glass of water! Who knew, by saving the white ends, then submerging them into a glass of water, they’d start to grow again?

My Mom just snagged a fantastic deal on some Tiger Lilies (perennials) from the garden centre at Home Depot! Each individual pot was regularly priced at $7.98, but she managed to get each pot for only $0.50 each! And they’re healthy looking plants to boot!
So, three new flowers for $1.50! Can’t beat those savings!
My advice, if you’re looking to fill your garden with more perennials this fall, is to scope out the garden centres in places like Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, Zellers and even actual flower nurseries!
