I opened an RRSP in 12th grade! It all started with me putting $50 into it a month.

Putting 10% of each paycheck into a savings account…I haven’t missed the money at all and it added up very fast! Having this emergency money is a huge relief.

Hitting rock bottom (consumer debt) and realizing that material items don’t bring any real happiness and that I’ll be perfectly fine with the things I have vs. buying new things because of a false sense of gratification.

Buying a deep freezer. 5.5 cubic feet deep freezer. Without a doubt the best purchase I’d ever made. Always a place to store sale meats, breads, frozen pizza, leftovers, etc. I used that until it died and then bought a 7 cubic foot freezer. I wouldn’t ever be without one.

Buying the book “Millionaire Teacher” from Andrew Hallam. My only regret is not having known that information years before.
