best check out country harvest bread saw a program that said they are part of the wonder bread conglomerate owned and made in Mexico and shipped to Canada par baked for the grocery store to finish and pack. Wonder bread dempsters most of our breads are owned by that one company along with store brands.

Likewise I also do small repairs to clothes – in addition to daily cooking, I make cider vinegar, jams, chutneys… which I share/ swop with friends
Socially I meet groups of friends for fun weekly and monthly craft night/ Bookclub and the hosting of food/ drink is rotated between homes

I grew up in modular homes so it was not difficult for me to go from a 2600sqft home to a 872sq ft modular. In fact, I am so happy to be at this point. Everything has to be intentional as far as purchases go. The ease of maintenance and cost saving make it worthwhile.
My husband wasn’t sure about this downsizing thing but now realizes that we have everything we need and need everything we have. It’s just that simple. Love it!

Really great stocking stuffers! I have a 13 year old daughter as well, so I really appreciate the ideas. You find such a great assortment of things. I did pick up the Flip 7 card game because I heard good things about it as well. You got the Daise body spray at such a great price! Those erasers look very interesting. To get a trade deal with the US, we will need to boycott products made in Ontario and Quebec because they are the two holdouts that are stopping any trade. So the rest of the Canadian jobs will be sacrificed to appease Quebec, who wants only French packaging. Wow, that is seriously lame.

My husband and I had tacos for supper yesterday. They were soooo good. I had 2 tortilla tacos and my husband had 3!!!! The toppings really helped too. We had lean hamburger with this spice mix,1 green and 1 red bell peppers cut up, 1 purple onion chopped cheddar cheese shredded and mild salsa we had in the pantry. Oh My Goodness!! These were tasty

Looking For Canadian Bakers Yeast (for bread)

I’m down to my last bit of yeast and I’m pretty sure Fleisman’s is American. The other 2 brands I found on Amazon appear to be American as well.
I’m not great at keeping a sour dough starter, so I hope someone can help. I’m in Ontario (gta) if there is a retailer I can buy from .

I’m glad info about Lay’s products are becoming more well known in our efforts to buy Canadian. Even though Lays is an American brand, the fact they manufacture here providing jobs. I looked on their package and it did not specify they use Canadian potatoes..
I was a die hard Old Dutch consumer. Thinking they were a company using Canadian product and provided employment. Thankfully a post in Reddit “Buy Canadian” provided details whereby I will never buy from them again. Their American branch donated heavily to the GOP campaigns..

Oh, my! What a great list! Wish we had dollar stores when my kids were young! But we did have activities for them, like car bingo, I spy with my little eye, and kids music (thinking of the Irish Rovers, kids tape here) oh and we all sang songs! (Not that we are singers, though) Did make the trip bearable, even if they did say “are we there yet?” Out came the paper road map! Those were the days of travelling with kids! Today, now adults, they still like to travel with us!
