“Use empty toilet paper rolls to contain extension cords”….so unless you’re allowing your kids to play with extension cords there shouldn’t be a problem. but I get what you’re sayin bout bacteria especially if the toilet paper roll has been “handled” during use ie: NOT on the roller.

Love your organizing ideas with one major exception: studies have shown that empty toilet paper rolls are frequesntly contaminated with e-coli bacteria. These are not safe to re-use. Use empty paper towel rolls instead (you can cut them in half to hold extension cords).

Toliet paper and paper towel rolls are also good for hamster, gerbils,and guinea pigs, who love and need to chew.
Great for daycares and schools that have craft projects.
