Homemade Baking Mix
Here’s my recipe for homemade baking mix! Use it in any recipe in place of Bisquick. I really like it because it uses butter rather than shortening!

- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
To make this a whole wheat version: Replace 3 cups all-purpose flour with 3 cups whole wheat flour and add 2 more tablespoons of baking powder.
