So, I have some exciting news to share! (although it may only be exciting to me?
)
After quite the journey, come the end of March 2012, Jesse and I should be welcoming a new baby to the Simply Frugal team!! We are thrilled to say the least!
I’m not really sure if any of you noticed, but I had taken a few more days “off” than normal from Simply Frugal over the summer months. But now that I seem to be getting a bit more energy back and work at the golf course will be winding down soon, I’m ready to jump back in with all the good deals, coupons and other good stuff! Thanks for your patience if you noticed things were a bit… umm..less than stellar lately!
Since I will have more time to devote to Simply Frugal over the Winter, I’m looking for your suggestions on what you’d like to see more of on Simply Frugal. I want this to be a place where you learn but also a place that will inspire and motivate you! So tell me what you want! Or send along something you’d like to contribute!
What I’m specifically looking for is:
- Guest posts from you (with or without a blog, please NO businesses/companies wanting a quick link! (unless I want to help promote your Canadian business!))
- Your money saving tips
- Your inspiring stories (how you got out of debt, how you’re trying to get out of debt, something you paid cash for)
- Your ideas on what you’d like to see me do (more of, less of, videos of…, crazy dance moves
) - Canadian owned/operated businesses you’d like to see featured?
Let’s make Simply Frugal awesome!
You can get in touch with me by click on the “Contact” button at the top of this page.
Okay, that’s all for now. Thanks for letting me share my news!

Congrats! Really love the site, especially the fact that it is Western-Canadian focused (I am in Saskatchewan so short of Save on Foods, we have all the same stores!) I really like your menu plans and have used several of the recipes.
As far as new things go, I would love to see a Diaper-unit-cost-analysis type thing. I have a spreadsheet of my own that I wouldn’t mind sharing – and wonder if you couldn’t just give people read-access to a google spreadsheet for viewing. Basically I look at the price, the coupons (and whether or not the store allows stacking) and any other possible benefits (ie SDM points values, etc).

I would love your spreadsheet! As diaper shopping will be in my future and I’m sure other would benefit from it! Could you email it to me? simplyfrugalcanada @ gmail.com

Congrats! Super exciting. I love your blog and you’re so awesome with coupons and flyers that I’m sure that even in the delivery room you’ll be matching them up in between contractions! lol.
(Just kidding by the way). Wishing you all the best and thanks for all the hard work!
