I have a very serious question today. 😉 If this were your dresser, how would you refinish it?
This dresser has seen better days, but I love the lines of it. It’s obviously functional so there’s no need to purchase anything new. Besides, I’m sort of looking for a DIY project and I love saving money!
So, shoot me your ideas! I’d love some links to some inspiration pictures!

I happened across this today. It looks like it has similar lines. http://themoderncottagecompany.blogspot.ca/ Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.
I think a pale colour would be very pretty. Like a soft turquoise, or a buttery yellow.
I’d paint it a base colour and stencil a cherry blossom design winding its way up the front and over the top of the dresser. Look forward to seeing what you do with it!
i like this look http://www.lilikoijoy.com/2013/03/craigslist-dresser-gets-colorful.html but whites always good too!!
I have done this exact refinishing job. APply a primer, and paint with a small roller/paint brush in layers. If you like the hardware, you can spray paint with enamel paint. I bought a 1940s dresser and bed and redid them for an awesome bedroom set for my daughter. If the wood veneer is coming up in spots, use wood glue and fasten it down somehow tight if not too badly cracked so glue dries before priming.
