After some thought and a couple of test weekends, I’ve decided to stop posting the regular deals on Saturdays and Sundays. (well, Sundays I have never posted anyways!) This is all in an effort to find more balance. It gives me the opportunity to actually unplug the computer and do other fun things (or not fun things like housework!)
Since I usually have the computer on for a bit on Saturdays, if I come across a really great deal, I won’t hesitate to post it. I may decide in the future to start posting regularly on Saturdays again, but for now, this is how it’s going to be. 🙂
One thing that I am going to keep doing on Saturdays, is Links Worth Sharing. I know many of you enjoy this feature and it’s fun for me to actually read other websites and blogs!
So…here are the interesting links I came across on my travels around the web this week. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

**5 Days left to get your submissions in! So far, it’s looking like the book may not happen as I’ve only received a few tips. 🙁 But please surprise me by sending in your ideas! **
While we were on one of our daily walks, I had an idea. I’m not sure if it’s a brilliant one or not (you can decide) but I got excited over the idea anyway!
I’d like to compile a ton of recipes, money saving tips, DIY projects, holiday ideas or basically anything frugal related and put them all into an ebook format.
But, here’s the catch, I’d like the ebook to be made up of all your tips & tricks!
I think it would be so neat to have an ebook that is made up of all the brilliant ideas of Simply Frugal readers! I’m visualizing this ebook to be an amazing source of inspiration for those that may need some inspiration or a handy go-to guide for all things frugal.
How can you be a part of this?
Simply send us your recipes, money saving tips, DIY projects, organizing tips, holiday ideas…whatever you think would be a great addition to the ebook. Email us here with “Simply frugal ebook” in the subject line.
We’d like to set a deadline of October 15, 2012 to have all your submissions in.
In the ebook, we’ll be including your first name and last name initial so you get the credit for your tip.
So…I’m wondering: What do you think of this idea? Any suggestions? Questions? Will you be submitting anything to be a part of this ebook?
Again, you can email your submissions to us here.
This ebook will be free to Simply Frugal readers!

Since it’s Thanksgiving weekend here this weekend, I’ll be taking some time off to enjoy time with family, eat some turkey, make some cheesecake (and eat it!) and to visit the local pumpkin patch with our “little pumpkin”. I hope you all have a very wonderful weekend!
I’ll leave you with the interesting links I’ve come across on my travels around the web this week. Enjoy and I’ll see you again on Tuesday!
