Use a points-earning credit card for everything, but only when you know you can pay it off every month and never carry a balance. Our family earns over $1000/year of free groceries by doing this with our PC credit card, and PC Plus points at Superstore.
Also, regularly review things such as your phone plan, insurance, etc. to make sure you aren’t paying for things you don’t need.
budget! And stick to it.
Make do with what you have. You don’t need it if there’s something you’ve got that will work just as well!
No matter how great the deal is, you’d save 100% when you don’t buy it. i.e. Never buy something because it’s on sale. Buy it because you need it.
