Hello everyone! How was your Christmas? Ours was fantastic. Lots of food and family! I was spoiled again this year. The most meaningful gift I received this year was one from my Aunt. Since my Grandma passed away in the summer, I wanted to get a copy of her recipes. My Aunt had them and I had been meaning to borrow them from her but I kept forgetting to ask. Christmas day comes and my Aunt hands me a gift. I open it and inside is a recipe box full of my Grandma’s recipes! There are three granddaughters, so my Aunt divided the original recipes three ways and then photocopied the rest so we each have my Grandma’s entire recipe collection! I almost cried.
I guess I’ll carry on with our menu now! I haven’t had to make a complete menu in a long time!
Monday: Sweet & Sour Meatballs, rice, vegetables
Tuesday: Burritos, with Spanish Rice inside
Wednesday: Lemon Chicken Pasta, garlic bread
Thursday: Grilled Cheese and tomato soup
Friday: Orange Ginger pork, mashed potatoes, vegetables
Friday’s meal is a maybe since it will be New Years day and something may come up. As usual, if you would like to see more menus, visit I’m an Organizing Junkie!

That is such an awesome gift and great idea! I just wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy New Year and to invite you over for Crock Pot Wednesday. I hope you can join me for that.
Hi Anonymous, here's the recipe I use for the sweet and sour sauce: http://www.recipezaar.com/Sweet-and-Sour-Meatballs-88991
Hope that helps!
Just saw your blog from Organizing Junkie. My family would love your week of menus so I think your week is now my week LOL. What do you put in with your meatballs to make them sweet and sour meatballs?
That's a lovely gift.
Wow! What an amazing gift. I know I cherish my mothers box of recipes that I got when my mother passed away (I am the only daughter). Now you've got me wondering where my grandmother's recipe box ended up and given me an idea.
Oh my! I almost cried reading about your grandma's recipes. My grandparents were all passed on by the time I was born. I didn't even get to know them, let alone eat their delicious dishes. What I wouldn't give for some recipes of theirs. Wow. You are truly blessed.
