Breakfast Refrigerator Oatmeal
So, just as I suspected, the menu I had figured out for last week didn’t get made for the most part. The only thing that I made were the Peanutty Asian lettuce Wraps. Other than that we were out and about or eating bunwiches or grilled cheese sandwiches :p Now that my Mother in law is back home, some sense of normalcy can return!
Teriyaki Meatballs, rice, steamed veggies
Perogies & Sausage, steamed veggies
Melt in your Mouth Chicken, pasta, steamed veggies
Steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad

A bit late, but it’s still Monday, so I guess it’s all good in regards to Menu Plan Monday! 🙂 I’ve had a bit of a chaotic weekend (wedding, mother-in-law arriving, MRI procedure for m…) so I haven’t had a chance to think about what we’re eating this week until now.
I’m not expecting things to go 100% according to plan since my Mother in law is visiting, but it’s still good to have a plan!
Perogies & Sausage, steamed veggies
Melt in your Mouth Chicken, leftover pasta, steamed veggies (carried over)
Steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad
Peanutty Asian lettuce wraps (served over rice, instead of in lettuce leaves), green beans
Bacon Cheese Burger Chicken, Freezer Mashed Potatoes, salad
Lunches:
- Smoothies
- Scrambled eggs with cheese, fruit
- Grilled cheese sandwich
- Hummus with pita bread and Greek salad
- Egg salad bunwiches

Last week was way less stressful since I had a solid menu plan and not just some ideas floating around in my head! It sure helped with the grocery bill too, since I only went out shopping once all week!
How did your week go in regards to menu planning? Did you try any new recipes?
Here’s what I’ve got in mind for this week:
Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork with Rice and steamed veggies
Perogies & Sausage, steamed veggies
Fettuccine Alfredo, Caesar salad, garlic bread
Melt in your Mouth Chicken, leftover pasta, steamed veggies
We’re pretty boring with breakfast and lunch, so you may end up seeing the same things each week 😛
Lunches:

Alright, Menu Plan Monday is back! I have to admit, I’ve been a slacker in the menu planning department lately and it’s been causing me some grief. Not only have I been unmotivated to put together a well rounded meal, it’s been apparent that I’ve been making too many trips to the grocery store each week.
I’m hoping that by posting our weekly menu, I’ll be motivated to stick with the plan and help you to find some new recipes! It’s also important for me to plan properly so I’m not stressing out about what I should feed Sienna. Some things are still hard for her to eat. Like salads. All I want to eat these days are big dinner sized salads, but Sienna can’t do lettuce or most raw veggies yet! So, I have to make sure our meals have enough parts that to appeal to her, since I’m not making two meals at each meal time!
Here’s what I’ve got planned:
Tuscan Garlic chicken
Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Sandwiches (Sienna will get everything but the lettuce)
French Toast with bacon
Homemade pizza with salad
Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork with Rice and steamed veggies
Lunches:
- Smoothies
- Scrambled eggs with cheese, fruit
- Grilled cheese sandwich
- Hummus with pita bread and Greek salad

Jun 4 | Menu Planning
This week I’m trying a couple of new recipes that I think sound tasty! Although, Jesse may not agree…he could live off of peanut butter toast and cereal!
Here’s what I have in mind:
Monday: I’ll be inviting myself over to Mom & Dad’s since Jesse will be at an out of town soccer game
Tuesday: Asian Vegetable Pasta (I’ll add some chicken)
Wednesday: not quite sure, have to make a trip to the airport
Thursday: Crock pot BBQ Meatballs, rice, veggies
Friday: PF Chang’s Lettuce Wraps

May 28 | Menu Planning
So…last week’s menu kinda didn’t go as planned. The only thing that got made was the Chicken pot pie. We ended up being at a BBQ one night because my husband had a couple of relatives in town. Then we ate leftovers. And Pizza. And Smoothies. It was a very low key week you could say!
Since most of the menu didn’t get made, I still have all the ingredients to make those meals this week. Making grocery shopping pretty much unnecessary! I think I’ll only have to pick up some milk, fruit and dental floss. (No…not to eat sillies…!)
Here goes the (repetitive) menu:
Monday: I’m on my own so I may invite myself over to my Mom & Dad’s 🙂
Tuesday: Crockpot Sesame Chicken (recipe to come), steamed veggies, rice
Wednesday: I don’t know yet! Something easy due to time constraints.
Thursday: Beef Hashay, served over mashed potatoes and carrots (recipe to come)
Friday: out to eat
