What would i do for a person who is xxl? What kind of dimensions would i use?
Make a trial apron….maybe for a gift….and compare it to you…..and adjust accordingly…..then you will be sure it fits you!!! 😀 At least that seems the best for me.
You could even make a trial apron out of scrap paper and tape… newspaper flyers from junk mail, for example! Then use the paper sample as your pattern. It’s a simple garment, so there’s no need to invest in good fabric.
Add 3 to 4 inches to the center where you place the pattern on the fold. When you hem the neckline, make that part a channel for narrow elastic, 1/4 to 3/8 inch works great. Adding elastic at the top gathers it so you naturally have extra room in the bust and thru the front.
retro apron won’t pull up–tried four times. BUMMER

The link, under Full Aprons, for Reversible Summer Apron doesn’t seem to work. I found it on the Wayback Machine here: https://web.archive.org/web/20170616081743/https://sew4home.com/projects/kitchen-linens/reversible-summer-apron-three-bold-prints
Thanks for this great list! I just finished helping my nephew make two aprons – one for him and one for his girlfriend!
Thank you! I think I’ve fixed it!
Hi..Im attracted to the apron in the photo with the cherry fabric and bow at the waistline. Do you know where I could find a pattern for it? Thanks!
Hi Donnie, actually that apron is from FlirtyAprons.com. I don’t think there is a pattern for it! Sorry!

Good question! I ALWAYS wear my full apron when I do my canning! And if I know something is going to be splashing when I cook, I will quickly grab my trusty apron! I like my apron! 🙂
