I am so ready to take down the Christmas decorations! Enough is enough of the festive “clutter” I say! đ
Being in a new house this Christmas, there was a lot of stuff that didn’t get put out because I just didn’t know where to put it! So I’ll be doing some purging I think. I keep everything (knick knacks, ornaments, garlands, stockings…etc.) in two large bins. Plus our Christmas tree that fits neatly into its own box. Two boxes is enough stuff for me! So, if I buy something new, something old has to leave!
While I do manage to cram everything into the bins, I did find some great Christmas organization ideas:
Do you have any Christmas organization tips? Â When do you typically put away all your decorations?

Today’s Declutterathon activity is to straighten up the board games and puzzles. Be sure to donate the things you no longer use! We don’t have a ton of games and puzzles, and they’re not really disorderly, but I think I can do better. Or at least dust the shelves. đ By the way, I’d love to know what some of your favourite games are! Here’s some of ours:
Here are some useful and inspiring board game organization ideas I found on Pinterest:

I’m currently toting a diaper bag that I switch with another little purse when I’m out without my youngest. Also a laptop bag that I bought myself for my birthday a couple of years ago. (I LOVE it! It’s this one. Not cheap, but it’s been fantastic and well worth the investment.)
My diaper bag is currently a catch all for snacks, toys, my wallet, appointment cards, diapers (of course) and so much more. I seem to often have the unfortunate embarrassment of dropping most of the contents of my bag while trying to grab my phone/wallet/lip gloss…etc. Sometimes I have no idea I have so much in there!
Despite the mess that is in my bags, I think today’s task should be quite easy to get finished. I might even throw my diaper bag in the wash!
While I don’t have many tips for purse organization, I think this purse organizer from Amazon.ca would be wonderful:

You can grab one for as low as $5.99 with free shipping!
So, how messy is your purse or bag? Â How do you keep it organized?

Today’s task for the Simply Frugal Declutterathon is one that has needed some attention for quite some time in our home. Toys. We’re going to work on organizing and purging the toy situation!
We seem to have accumulated a nice collection of baby, toddler and kindergartner toys. We are no longer in need of the baby toys and it seems we’ve got too many other toys because many of them don’t get played with. I think I will be purging some, but storing others so I can rotate them.

Are you ready to start the Simply Frugal Declutterathon?  I know I sure am! Do you have empty boxes set aside for all that stuff you’re going to get rid of? đ

The first task of the year is to organize your coupons. I’m hoping this will be an easy thing for you to accomplish today. I actually revamped my system last year.  I went from a binder to a small accordion file system.  I’m just not using many coupons these days. I basically only use coupons for household goods, a few convenience items (pizza pretty much) and dairy (yogurt).  I’m okay with that because there are plenty of other ways for me to save. đ
Since I actually don’t have any coupons to sort though at the moment, I will be planning our meals for the rest of the month instead. I’ve been struggling with meal time lately and I think having the month planned out will really help me. Even if things end up getting changed. I’ve really been enjoying the recipes and ideas in the Ultimate Healthy Meal Planning Bundle that is available until January 5, 2018.
Here are useful articles to help you organize your coupons if you need some extra help in this area:
Will you be joining me today by organizing your coupons or planning your meals? Iâd love it if those of you that join, would chime in with your progress in the comments!
