Do you need a super quick and fun Valentine’s Day gift? Try this DIY idea: Candy in a Jar! This is a perfect idea for those of you needing several inexpensive little gifts for teachers, family members, friends or even neighbors.

It’s so simple. All you have to do is pour some sort of Valentine coloured candies into a jar, tie a ribbon around the jar then glue the label to the lid.

And if you have extra candy? Consider the extras your dessert 🙂

My daughter and I had fun over the weekend whipping up some delicious smelling pumpkin pie sugar scrub! It was such a fun and easy activity to do together. Then of course, once we were finished, we had to try it out! Our skin was oh so soft afterwards.

Want to pamper yourself? Here’s how you can quickly make a batch of Pumpkin Pie Sugar Scrub. Double up to gift a friend!

Pumpkin Pie Sugar Scrub

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

– 1 cup of white sugar
– ¾ cup of coconut oil (cold pressed, virgin coconut oil is excellent)
– 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
– 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
– glass jar

DIRECTIONS:
1. In a bowl, mix the coconut oil and white sugar. Simply mash it together with a spoon until mixed.
2. Add in the pumpkin pie seasoning and continue to mash.
3. You can now add in the brown sugar. Mix well. If you feel like your scrub is too dry, you can add a small dab of coconut oil to add some moisture.
4. Spoon the pumpkin pie sugar scrub into a glass jar and sprinkle the top with additional brown sugar. This not only adds a little more “scrub” to the scrub but makes it sparkle.
5. Cover with an air tight lid and store in a cool place for up to one week.
6. To use your pumpkin pie sugar scrub, simply apply to wet skin in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and repeat if necessary.

How to Make Sun Tea

Have you ever made Sun Tea? It’s my favourite way to enjoy iced tea in the summer! The taste of real brewed tea and endless flavour options is what gets me really excited about brewing a batch.

Sun Tea is a method of brewing tea slowly by using the heat of the sun to steep tea bags. I find it fascinating to watch the water in the glass jar slowly change colour as the sun works its magic on the tea bags. 🙂

Sun Tea is really easy to make and is very adaptable to your own personal flavour preferences.

How to make sun tea:

Add 6 – 9 tea bags (this is my favourite) to a 4 litre glass jar.

Fill the jar with water and screw on the lid.

Place in the direct sun for 3 – 5 hours, or until desired strength is reached. Remove tea bags.

Place in the fridge.

To serve: add sliced lemons, fresh mint, sweetener (honey, simple syrup, agave…etc.) if desired.

For the batch I brewed pictured below, I used 2 Ginger Peach tea bags and 6 Orange Pekoe tea bags. I added some of the Simple Syrup I featured the other day until I was happy with the sweetness. I think it tastes pretty darn good, but if I had some lemons on hand I would have added a few slices to make it perfect!

DIY Gingerbread House Kits

My daughters love decorating gingerbread houses every year before Christmas. Probably, most likely, because they get to consume candy. But I also like to think it’s because of the creative process and making something cute.

We like to make a special evening or weekend day out of it by adding hot chocolate and having Christmas carols playing in the background.

This year, I thought it would be fun to create little gingerbread house kits. I even had fun creating a Build Your Own Gingerbread House tag to make them way more official. Lol.

In case you think they’re cute too, you can print off your very own when you click on this link here!

These are so simple to whip up. Here’s what you need:

Sandwich bags

Graham crackers

An assortment of candies (I buy mine at Bulk Barn)

Icing

The Build Your Own Gingerbread House tag

To assemble them, add 8 square graham crackers or 4 of the large rectangle ones if they are the brand name ones by Christie (pictured below). I like the brand name ones best because you can cut the large rectangle on the top half on an angle so it has a point. This is so the roof crackers have a sturdier resting point.

After this, fill the bag with an assortment of candy. I bought all of ours from Bulk Barn. Seal the sandwich bag.

Once you’ve printed out the tag, cut it out, fold it in half, then staple it to the top of the sandwich bag. Ta da!

The icing I used didn’t fit inside the bags, however, you could create a mini piping bag filled with icing that should fit nicely if you’re giving it as a gift!

You can make your own icing or you can buy it like I do. The premade icing in a can by Betty Crocker and the likes, also works really well!

I think it would be so fun to have a Gingerbread House making party with a bunch of friends! Young or old!

What are your holiday traditions that you find yourself doing every year?

I think this Homemade Sore Muscle Soak would make a perfect gift for someone on your list! Or perhaps it would make a great addition to a spa basket you can make up?

I often find myself with sore muscles in the fall. I think it’s because we’re out hiking more and working outside more. 🙂 Because of this, I find it really nice to have a warm bath with some of my homemade sore muscle soak! This one smells delicious because it uses fresh mint and lavender (or essential oils). Here’s how you can easily make up your own batch of homemade sore muscle soak:

Homemade Sore Muscle Soak

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

1 cup of Epsom salt

1 cup of baking soda

¼ cup of fresh mint leaves, chopped OR 7-10 drops of peppermint oil

¼ cup of fresh lavender, chopped OR 7-10 drops of lavender oil

DIRECTIONS:

Begin by mixing your Epsom salt and baking soda in a bowl. Mix well.

Chop your herbs fine and add them to the mixture. Or, add your oils at this time. For the mixture you see here, I used fresh mint and used lavender oil in place of the fresh lavender.

Continue mixing well. The moisture from the herbs and oils may cause some clumping. This is not a big deal. Just use your spoon to break through the clumps.

Store the mixture in a glass jar with lid or air tight container. I like to let it sit for a few hours before using.

To use your homemade sore muscle soak, just pour it into a running bath. The lavender will help you relax and ease muscle tension, the mint will help revitalize, and the Epsom salt and baking soda will help with inflammation and pain.

When done, drain your tub as usual. You may wish to remove any larger herb clippings by hand to avoid drain issues.

Creative Ways to Use Fallen Leaves

Are you up to your ears in leaves? If your yard is home to numerous trees, you might find yourself overwhelmed with leaves this fall season. So what exactly can you do with all of those leaves, other than rake them? Well the good news is they do have a few fun uses! Take a peek at these 5 creative ways to use fallen leaves, in ways that are both fun and frugal!

1. Craft a scarecrow.

Fallen leaves are perfect for stuffing and filling scarecrows. Save leaves so when you are ready to craft your scarecrow, you have plenty to create the body, legs, arms, and of course, head. Leaves make perfect stuffing material and fill up the scarecrow nicely.

2. Make giant yard pumpkins.

Buy orange yard waste bags found at your local home improvement store or Amazon. Some are plain orange while others might have the pumpkin faces already on them. No worries if you can’t find any with faces, you can always add your own with a black marker. Simply fill the bags up with leaves, then tie the top for yard pumpkins that make the perfect outdoor fall décor.

3. Craft spooky ghosts.

Take white trash bags and fill the bottom with a handful of leaves. Twist the bag and tie it to create a round head shape. You can use a black marker to draw the face of a ghost directly onto the bag, and then add string for hanging. Place the ghost in a tree or porch for a spooky effect.

4. Make spooky yard spiders.

Take a black trash bag and fill it with fallen leaves. You can then use white paper to craft eyes and attach them with craft glue. Painted PVC piping can make legs as well as long cardboard tubes or even pool noodles. How spooky would these be to see in your yard around Halloween!

5. Create a leaf fort.

Find a large cardboard box that can be used as the fort’s main foundation. Cut a square to enter. Spray the box with spray adhesive and apply the leaves to the outside of the box. One or two layers is sufficient. When you are done you should not be able to see the box and it will look like the entire piece is made from leaves.

Did you ever think that leaves could provide so much fun? Start raking up those fall leaves and then give these fun ideas a try and see all the ways you can put those fallen leaves to use. You are sure to enjoy lots of family fun with very little cost to you.

How to catch fruit flies at home

Fruit flies can be so annoying, can’t they? It seems they are impossible to avoid and eliminate. If you find your home filled with pesky fruit flies, I have a tried and true technique to get rid of them. It’s so simple and requires only two easy to find ingredients. Here’s how to catch fruit flies at home:

Tried & True Fruit Fly Trap:

When you already have fruit flies in your home, gather up some apple cider vinegar and dish soap.

Next, fill a bowl with apple cider vinegar and add a few drops of dish soap.

Bam! That’s all you need to catch fruit flies! Soon you’ll be seeing those pesky things floating in your concoction.

The fruit flies are attracted to the sweetness of the apple cider vinegar. The soap reduces the surface tension of the liquid, causing the fruit flies to sink and drown when they land on it.

By placing a jar or two in areas where you notice a lot of flies, you’ll soon be seeing a lot less fruit flies in your home. Whew!

Check the traps regularly and empty them when they start to accumulate fruit flies. Rinse out the traps and replace the apple cider vinegar and dish soap as needed.

Here’s how you can prevent fruit flies:

Wash all produce when you get home from the store.

Refrigerate promptly the produce that belongs in the fridge.

Freeze or toss overripe produce.

Clean up any spills promptly.

Keep your kitchen sink and drain clean.

Regularly empty and clean your garbage cans.

With these simple tips, not only will you know how to catch fruit flies, you’ll know how to prevent them from showing up in the first place.

How have you dealt with fruit flies? Tell us in the comments below!

How to make homemade fire starters

Get your outdoor fun underway with these easy homemade fire starters using items you have on hand! Perfect for the backyard bonfire or the weekend campfire!

Don’t throw out that dryer lint quite yet! These homemade fire starters will put that lint to use and two more items you most likely have on hand already! Really, all you need is some lint, toilet paper rolls and wax paper. They’re ridiculously easy AND are a great way to “recycle” materials you already have.

Here’s how to make Homemade Fire Starters:

MATERIALS

Dryer lint

Toilet paper/paper towel rolls

Wax paper

Scissors

DIRECTIONS

1. Remove the lint from your dryer lint trap
2. Cut your paper towel rolls into thirds or leave toilet paper rolls whole
3. Stuff your paper rolls with the dryer lint, but don’t pack it in too tight
4. Cut a 6″ piece of wax paper
5. Place your paper roll in the center, wrap the long sides over each other and twist the ends
6. Trim the ends of your wax paper if you’d like

TO USE: place one of your fire starters under a few pieces of kindling and light the end of your wax paper

** Lint is very flammable, store in a metal box

25 New Uses for Old Things

One aspect of the frugal lifestyle is using things you already have on hand, even if they don’t work perfectly for the task. Rather than running to the store to buy something (and most likely spending a bundle), you could try improvising by using something you already own. It’s amazing how much stuff we already have to work with, once we’re able to train ourselves to stop running to the store for every thing we think we “need”.

In today’s post I hope to help spark creativity and give you new ideas for looking at the things you already own in a new way. With the ultimate goal, of course, making you rethink your normal spending habits.

Is there something you need right now, that you were planning to buy, that you could possibly create a solution for using something you already have?

I rounded up 25 amazing and creative new uses for old things. I am very inspired by these upcycling ideas, and I hope that you will be too!

How to Make Valentine Gum Drops

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! That means it’s time to show some love and appreciation to our valentines. Sweet treats are a great way to show some appreciation, but I happen to think homemade treats are extra special!

Today I want to show you how fun and easy these Valentine gum drops are to make. Get the kids involved with cutting out the shapes too. This set of heart shaped cookie cutters has a variety of sizes to choose from, but any small shaped cookie cutter will work!

Valentine Gum Drops

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups unsweetened Applesauce

2 1/4 cups Sugar

2 boxes (3 oz) Strawberry Jell-O

2 envelopes Unflavored Gelatin {like Knox}

DIRECTIONS:

Spray a 9×13 baking pan with non-stick spray.

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan on the stove.

Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Boil for one minute.

Pour into prepared pan and refrigerate until set.

Dust a cutting board with sugar.

Use a spatula to loosen sides and turn out onto cutting board.

Dust the top of the Jell-O with sugar.

Use heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out gum drops.

Roll edges in extra sugar and set onto wax paper for 1 hour to dry out slightly.

Store in an airtight container.

Easy DIY Heart Shirt

Forget the candy this Valentine’s Day! Make a really cute and simple DIY heart shirt for the people in your house! Perfect for Valentine’s Day at school or really, to wear year round. (I think hearts look great anytime of year.) 🙂

I’m thinking you could also use the same template on a tote bag or pillow case. They would look equally as adorable! That’s the nice thing about crafting though, you get to put it on any little thing that makes you happy. Now, read along, I’m off to make my own heart shirt. 😉

Here’s how to make a DIY Heart Shirt:

MATERIALS

White t-shirt of your choice

Tulip fabric markers (pink, light pink, red)

Heart Stencil printable

Scissors

Piece of cardboard/couple sheets paper

DIRECTIONS

1. Print out your heart stencil “here“.
2. Lay your shirt flat, and place a piece of cardboard or a few sheets of paper inside the shirt, right under where your design will go.
3. Cut out your printable and place it on the front of your shirt.
4. Take all the caps off your markers so they are ready to use.
5. Hold the heart into the shirt using one hand and hold your marker in the other, using only the tips of your marker begin dotting around the heart almost like you are tracing it.
6. You want to have a lot of dots directly around the heart then have then fade away the further you go out.
7. Now switch colors (do this 3 times).
8. You can always go back if you don’t have enough dots.
9. Now move your heart stencil out of the way.
10. Let dry for 24 hours before you wash but after that these markers are permanent.

Simple Gift in a Mug Ideas

I had so much fun with these!

If you are in need of a simple, thoughtful gift idea, I present you with… gifts in a mug. 🙂 Once I started creating one gift in a mug, the ideas kept flowing! The options are endless!

These are a perfect gift idea for friends, teachers, your boss, really, anyone!

The idea is simple. Pick a cute mug, then fill it with your recipient’s favorite things.

To help you get your wheels turning, I want to show you three simple ideas that can be done on any budget.

I found my supplies at Walmart, Amazon, Dollarama and my house.

Gift in a Mug #1 – Self Care Mug

This coffee mug gift idea includes a face mask, cozy socks, lip balm, hand cream, and a milk chocolate bar. This would make for a great gift idea for a friend, mother in law or teacher!

Mug – Walmart
Fuzzy socks – Dollarama
Hand cream – Walmart (was in a set of four, perfect for splitting up!)
Lip balm – Walmart
Chocolate bar – Walmart
Face mask – Walmart

Gift in a Mug #2 – Desk Essentials

This coffee mug gift idea is perfect for someone who works in an office or from home. Anyone really! For this gift in a mug, I put in a mini stapler, hand cream, two pens, gum, a chocolate bar, a small notebook and a small day planner. Because the notebook and day planner don’t fit in the mug, I am just going to place them underneath the mug and wrap it all together in some cellophane.

Mug – Walmart
Notebook – Amazon
Day planner – Dollarama
Chocolate bar – Walmart
Gum – Walmart
Stapler – Walmart
Hand cream – Walmart
Pens – Amazon

Gift in a Mug #3 – Birthday essentials

This idea makes me so happy! It would be perfect for a hostess gift or for a holiday party. Swap the Christmasy items for more neutral items and you could have the cutest birthday present for a friend. To this gift in a mug, I added a mug cake package, a fork, a napkin and a couple of candles. Simple and cheap.

Mug – Walmart
Mug Cake – Amazon
Fork – my party stash
Napkin – my party stash
Candles – my party stash

Other gift in a mug ideas I had:

Hot chocolate mug: a mug, a packet or two of hot chocolate, a candy cane, a special treat, marshmallows, a chocolate covered stirring spoon.

Kids themed: a mug, a Pez candy dispenser, a special pen, a notebook, small kid things from the dollar store.

Craft supplies: a mug, fun craft supplies for an adult or a child.

Liqueurs in a mug: a couple of those tiny liqueurs that would taste yummy in coffee or hot chocolate.

Kitchen Essentials: I have seen mini whisks, tongs and the like at Superstore. These would be cute tucked into a mug with a dish cloth!

The ideas are endless!

I hope my ideas will help you out if you want to try gifting a Gift in a Mug this year!

Throughout these strange and uncertain world events as of late, I have been collecting links to activities and helpful articles. In my online world, I am always amazed to see amazing humans step out and share their knowledge to try to make these, perhaps uncomfortable, days a bit easier. Life is so much better when we can learn to come together, even in unconventional ways. (Separately, in our own homes. LOL)

In these coming weeks, I would highly encourage you to set yourself up to create positive memories to strengthen your relationships. In times of crisis or upheaval, fear and anxiety really don’t serve us well. Take the necessary precautions, find the happy moments, dream together and tell your family and friends how much you love and appreciate them.

With all that said, here is my list of free indoor activities and ideas that you can enjoy as a family or even virtually with others. Make a list of things you want to accomplish as a family or even some projects on your own.

During this time, food may also be at the forefront of many of our thoughts. Here is another list with helpful articles relating to feeding our families:

How fun would this shirt be to pull out of the Christmas boxes every year? I’ve got a shirt for my oldest, now I’ve got to make one for my youngest!

Here’s how you can put together the No Sew Snowman Shirt:

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

White t-shirt

Crafting felt in black and orange

Fabric glue

Iron (optional)

Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

1. Begin by ironing out your shirt as well as the felt sheets. This step is optional, but it may help you apply your snowman face. If you choose to iron, just use a low heat and no steam.

2. Cut out the shapes you will need to create the snowman face. I cut out a large triangle for a nose using the orange felt. Then, I cut out a few large circles from the black fabric to use as the eyes and buttons. For the mouth, I cut out smaller but uniform black circles.

3. Add a small dab of fabric glue (it will help the felt adhere better than hot glue, plus it will keep the pieces together in the washing machine) to the back of the felt pieces. Assemble the face of your snowman. Press the two large circles for eyes first, then the carrot nose, then the coal mouth. Finish by adding a few large buttons under the mouth.

4. Hold the felt pieces in place until secure. Try hanging your shirt on a hanger so it has plenty of space to dry and not be bothered.

5. Once dry, your shirt can be worn and enjoyed! Wash on a gentle cycle and never machine dry. Turn inside out before washing and your shirt should last for seasons to come!

Today’s homemade gift idea can’t get much simpler. So, I happen to think it would make a perfect last-minute gift! Simply head to your nearest dollar store, pick up a fancy dish towel and some ribbon and get started!

Here’s how to create a No Sew Dish Towel Apron that any chef would love to receive:

DIY No Sew Dish Towel Apron

Supplies needed:

Thick ribbon, at least 1 yard

Cotton dishtowel

Iron on fabric tape or fabric adhesive

Scissors

Directions:

Begin by folding your towel into the size of apron you want. You can fold it down to about 8 inches by 8 inches square for a child, or simply fold the towel in half for an adult. If you wish for a longer apron, manipulate the fabric to get the shape you wish. For the sample you see here, I folded the towel once in half, then folded each end in about 2 inches.

Apply a strip of iron on fabric tape OR fabric adhesive to the inside of your folded seams. Press and iron the towel if needed. The idea is to use the tape or adhesive to secure the shape of the towel.

Apply a length of adhesive tape or glue to the top of your towel. Press the length of ribbon into it. Press and iron if needed. The ribbon should now be adhered to the towel, leaving you two lengths on each side for tying.

Once your adhesive is dry or ironed in place, your towel can be used. Simply use the excess ribbon as ties, tying them behind your back to hold the apron in place.

Bath Bomb Directions:

Combine the baking soda and citric acid.

Add in the coconut oil and then the water a little bit at a time and combine to mix using your hands. You want it slightly dense but not soaked through.

Add in several drops of green food coloring and use your hand to thoroughly mix.

Spoon the mixture into the Christmas Tree mold filling each cavity about halfway. Use your fingers to press down.

Spoon the remaining mixture evenly into the cavities and continue to press down.

Set the Christmas Tree bath bombs in a cool/dry spot for 24 hours to allow them to set.

*Makes 6 Christmas Tree Bath Bombs

To use them, just drop a bath bomb into your warm bath water. Watch as it fizzes and dissolves before your eyes while releasing the essential oil.

Doesn’t it seem as though everyone has an abundance of egg cartons around the home? The typical family can easily go through a dozen eggs in a week, leaving you with an empty carton to recycle. But before you give that old egg carton the heave ho, take a look below at 7 creative uses for egg cartons that you can try! You may never look at egg cartons the same way again.

7 Creative Uses for Egg Cartons

1. Make seed starters.

Poke a hole in the bottom of each compartment, fill with soil, and add a seed. They are the perfect seed starters! If you use cardboard egg cartons, the cups can be planted directly in the ground when ready.

2. Sort office supplies.

Cut away the bottom half of the egg carton and use it to sort office supplies. The little cups are great for storing safety pins, paper clips, push pins and more.

3. Add them to sensory tables.

Cut the compartment into tiny cups and add them to sensory tables for kids to use as cups and pouring devices. They also work great in kiddie pools and sandboxes.

4. Sort your jewelry.

Cut the compartment half and use it to keep jewelry sorted. It is great for holding small pieces (such as earrings) and keeps them from becoming lost or damaged.

5. Make suet balls.

Mix some birdseed and bacon grease into a mixing bowl and spoon into the compartments. Press it in and freeze until solid. Pop the suet balls out and place outside for birds to dine on. They will love them.

6. Craft a sorting game.

Give children a variety of colored chips, marbles, or scraps of paper and allow them to sort the colors into the various compartments. You can also have them sort according to size or shape if you wish.

7. Save them for packaging cushion.

Foam egg cartons are great for storing breakable items such as holiday ornaments. You can also place the entire cartons in between valuables (for example plates, china, and other breakables) when packing.

Bonus: Use them to make egg carton flowers! This is fun for the kids and you! Take a look at all these great ideas I found on Pinterest!

Did you ever think an old egg carton could be so valuable? Give these tips a try for breathing a new life into your empty egg cartons and see how great they can be. Chances are, you won’t need to go any further than your own recycling bin. 🙂

We’re 5 months into living in our new house. Everything is unpacked and it’s feeling more like home every day. However, we’re still missing some personality in most of the rooms.
I’ll be honest in saying that I’m sort of dreading this summer. My oldest daughter will be finished her two days a week preschool and swimming lessons so she will be home a lot more. As with most five year olds, she has a lot of energy and likes to keep busy. Normally this is okay, but the littlest is still napping quite a bit so during this time, we’re stuck at home. (and boredom usually strikes…)

With that in mind, I had to figure something out. Especially since I wanted to figure out some easy activities I could do with my oldest to make her feel like mommy isn’t just around for the baby’s needs.

Enter… The Summer Bucket of FUN!

I’m so so excited about it! This summer bucket of fun is loaded with supplies, mostly from the dollar store, that can be used to create an almost endless supply of activities. I think it’s going to be a hit!

The idea is that when Sienna is looking for something to do, she’ll pull something out of the bucket and we’ll get to work doing something fun. Some of the activities she can do on her own as well. I hope that this bucket will create some fun memories for her and remind her that life isn’t all about her little sister. 😉

Here’s what’s included in the bucket:

Here are some of the possible activities that we can do with the supplies from the bucket:

My Summer Adventures book

Spray Chalk painting

Marshmallow and toothpick building

Nature scavenger hunt

Make a bouncy ball

Go to the library

Paint rocks

Movie night/day

Ice block treasure hunt

Fishing game

Blow bubbles

Magazine art

Melted crayon art

Fly swatter art

This is such a simple gift idea that is inexpensive and a great way for kids to use their imaginations rather than grabbing for the electronics. Today I would love to share my Play Dough Gift idea…Candy Cane Play Dough!

You can make the Candy Cane Play Dough and give that as a gift… or you can fill a jar with the dry ingredients and let your recipients make the play dough themselves at home. Either way, I think it’s a fun and unique gift idea for kids.

Here’s how to make Candy Cane Play Dough:

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup salt
5-6 drops of peppermint essential oil (or 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract)
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 cup cold water
Red washable paint/watercolor
White glitter

DIRECTIONS
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

2. Add the extract, oil and water and mix until well incorporated.

3. Remove dough from bowl and place on a flat, lightly floured surface. Knead until a soft play dough forms (this takes about 3-4 minutes).

4. Separate the play dough in half. Set aside one half and place the other in a medium mixing bowl.

5. Add the red paint/watercolor to the play dough in the bowl and mix until your desired color is achieved. I added about 2 Tablespoons of paint to get a rich red color.

6. Lay both colors of play dough out on your play surface and sprinkle with glitter. Enjoy making candy canes, peppermint “candies”, etc!

There you have it! A fun and frugal gift idea that kids are sure to enjoy! I’m excited to give it to my daughter, maybe we’ll get to enjoy drinking hot coffee on Christmas morning!

DIY Foaming Hand Soap Refill

We love foaming hand soap at our house. I find it lasts quite a long time and washes off hands easily. Which is great for my daughters, who love to wash their hands, but don’t always take the time to rinse all the soap off of their hands.

However, purchasing foaming soap refills can get quite expensive. But if you know how to mix up your own DIY foaming hand soap refill, you can save a ton! Especially if you go through lots of soap like we do at our house. 🙂

All you need to make your own DIY Foaming Hand Soap refill is four things:

SUPPLIES:

Foaming soap dispenser

1 cup water

2 TBSP Castile Soap

2 tsp scented body wash

DIRECTIONS:

Add the castile soap and body wash to the soap dispenser.

Add the water and shake well.

Pump and enjoy!

This will be a huge money saver for you and it’s so easy to change the scent for different seasons!
