One of my good friends celebrated a birthday last month and I wanted to do something a bit more personal for her this year. We’ve been through our ups and downs together for nearly 18 years. 18! Now, that in itself is special. 🙂
I have been having a lot of fun creating the graphics for Simply Frugal so I knew I wanted to try my hand at creating some wall art. So, I asked her what her favourite bible verse was and got to work playing around with different fonts and colours. Fun!
This is what I came up with:
I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out and my friend seemed to love it! Especially, I think, that it was made just for her. I gave it to her in a picture frame I picked up somewhere along the way.

Of course, I can’t show you these without making them available for you to download and print for yourself! Each picture is made to fit a 5×7 frame and perfect for decorating on a budget!

I know peanut butter cookies don’t exactly scream Christmas, but they’re my husband’s favourite and I wanted to share my recipe! Included with this post is a free “Send Joy” printable to help make your gift giving more festive!
While I think the printable tag looks cute with cookies, I think it would also look great with a loaf! Maybe banana bread? If you’re not too keen on peanut butter cookies, you might want to consider these holiday favorites of ours:

chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl (I used my KitchenAid mixer)
Form dough into small rounded balls and place on cookie sheets
Press a fork into each ball twice to make a criss-cross design.
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes

As I’ve been slowly cleaning/purging the house, I’ve come across a lot of little pieces of paper with phone numbers written down. Silly! This inspired me to make up a sheet that would include all the phone numbers that we need to keep on hand.

I have a couple of new downloads for you! Since I’m organizing my coupon binder this week, I thought I’d make up a couple of forms that could make tracking the coupons you have in your stash easier!
The first one includes a spot for you to write the coupon, value of the coupon, expiry, the number you have in your stash and how many you’ve used:
The second one includes the same things as the above tracker, but I added a spot to include the coupon type (printable, Save.ca, Websaver.ca..etc) in hopes that it may help you order/print more of that particular coupon:
